Thomas (Tom) Hiram Sargent, of Thornton, CO, passed at the age of 82 on June 25, 2024 at North Suburban Medical Center.<br><br>Born August 29, 1941 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Hiram Albert Sargent and Annie Trotter Sargent.<br><br>Tom was a veteran of the US Navy and a graduate of Boys High.<br><br>He retired early from IBM in 1990 and went on to enjoy several new careers including earning his realtor license as well as working for Qwest as a fiber locator. In his younger years he was an avid sportsman enjoying river rafting, kayaking, motorcycling, water and snow skiing, and golfing.<br><br>He is survived by his loving wife and companion, Jane Rich Pequette Sargent, daughter April L Sargent, step-sons; Craig Pequette (Holly), Jeff Pequette (Krissy), and Paul Pequette; grandchildren; Chloe Pequette, Haley Pequette, and Jake Pequette; and brother, Samuel Lane Sargent of Sumiton, AL.<br><br>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Chastain Sargent.<br><br>He will forever be remembered for his caring, playful, sincere spirit. All who knew him are proud to call him husband, daddy, brother, or friend.<br><br>Services will be held for Thomas on August 29th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, South Carolina.<br><div><br></div>
