Auction/Dinner

• The 33rd annual “Bid for Life!” auction/dinner will be held on June 17 at Vintage House Banquet Hall, 31816 Utica Road, Fraser. Doors open at 5:30 pm, family style dinner served at 7:00 pm. Hawaiian theme with Hawaiian dress encouraged but not requried. Live and silent auctions, 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $55 per person or $400 for a table of 8. Bottle and can drive

• Woman’s Life Chapter 855 conducts a continuous bottle and can drive with drop off locations in Richmond and Memphis to help those in the community in need. They also offer a pick up service for larger donations. For more information, call 586-318-4053.

Euchre event

• Sterling Heights Lions Club host euchre tournament June 13 at their clubhouse, 12828 Canal Road, Sterling Heights. Greek Festival

* St. Nicholas Opa! Fest 4-11 p.m. June 20 and 21 and noon-7 p.m. June 22 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 760 W. Wattles Road, Troy. Food, Greek marketplace, presentations on Greek culture, a bone marrow drive and more. Admission is $3 for adults and free for children ages 12and under, or bring three canned food goods to be donated to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. • Washington Art Guild meets June 2 at Romeo Community Center, 361 Morton Street. Use the south and west parking lots and enter the building through the south door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments and socializing. Business meeting at 7 p.m. Featured speaker is Romeo resident, Sarah Kasper. A sample of her outdoor artwork, “Juliet’s Potential,” can be viewed in Romeo in the alley next to Yorokobi Sushi on Main Street. She will be sharing her knowledge of glass bottles and mortar artwork.
