Kyrie Irving scored 25 points and the Dallas Mavericks beat visiting Oklahoma City 106-98 Friday night as Thunder All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander missed his first game of the season with a sprained wrist.

The Mavericks (23-19), who snapped a three-game losing streak, outscored Oklahoma City 41-17 in the second period and led 63-43 at halftime. The Thunder (34-7) cut their deficit to a point (77-76) by outscoring the Mavericks 33-14 in the third. The Mavericks closed out the win by outscoring the Thunder 29-22 in the fourth.

TIMBERWOLVES 116, KNICKS 99: Anthony Edwards had 36 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, leading Minnesota over host New York.

Edwards made eight 3-pointers and Naz Reid was 6 for 6 behind the arc as the Timberwolves matched their season best with 22 3-pointers in 40 attempts (55%). Reid finished with 23 points and eight rebounds.

Jalen Brunson scored 26 points for the Knicks.

CELTICS 121, MAGIC 94 >> Jayson Tatum scored 30 points and Boston ran past visiting Orlando.

The Celtics’ Kristaps Porzingis had 23 points.

NUGGETS 133, HEAT 113: Jamal Murray scored 30 points, Nikola Jokic had his 17th triple-double of the season and Denver beat host Miami, whose Jimmy Butler returned from a team-imposed seven-game suspension and scored 18 points.

Jokic finished with 24 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

BUCKS 130, RAPTORS 112: Giannis Antetokounmpo had 35 points and 12 rebounds, his 12th straight double-double, to lead Milwaukee at home against Toronto,

MORANT SITS: Ja Morant was sidelined for the Memphis-San Antonio game on Friday night because of a sore right foot, and the Grizzlies guard became ineligible for the NBA’s postseason awards after missing his 18th game of the season.

The NBA requires players to participate in 65 games for selection to the All-NBA teams, MVP and other awards. Morant can only play in a maximum of 64 games after sitting Friday.

Morant is averaging 21.4 points and 7.5 assists.
