The Lake County coroner’s office identified a teen shot dead July 7 outside a Hobart apartment building.

Tristan Tomak, 19, of Valparaiso, was shot multiple times. His death was ruled a homicide. A second man was wounded.

Hobart police released Tomak’s identity on its Facebook page last week.

The shooting took place approximately 5 p.m. in the 300 block of North Lake Park Avenue, in the Haven Apartments, the Hobart Police Department released on its social media page.

One of the victims was taken to an area hospital for treatment, the release said.
