NFL MVP Josh Allen was rewarded Sunday with a contract extension reportedly worth $330 million, which would make him among the league’s highest-paid players.
The Buffalo Bills announced the agreement, which adds two years to Allen’s contract and locks the 28-year-old in through the 2030 season. The deal’s value includes an NFL-record $250 million guaranteed, eclipsing his previous contract, a six-year $258 deal he signed with Buffalo in August 2021.
Garrett, Browns agree to record deal >> Myles Garrett is staying in Cleveland after the Browns gave him a record four-year contract extension that makes the four-time All-Pro edge rusher the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history — $122.8 million guaranteed, an average annual salary of $40 million with a total value of $204.8 million.
Adams joins Rams >> Receiver Davante Adams agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams, bringing the three-time All-Pro and Palo Alto High alum back to his native California on a contract that could be worth up to $46 million, supplanting Cooper Kupp.
Seahawks ship Metcalf >> The Seattle Seahawks are sending D.K. Metcalf to Pittsburgh for at least a second-round pick, sources with knowledge of the deal told the AP on Sunday night, after the two-time Pro Bowl receiver requested a trade last week.
The 27-year-old Metcalf will also receive a new five-year deal worth $150 million. His exodus comes during a tumultuous stretch for Seattle, which released Tyler Lockett last Wednesday and then dealt QB Geno Smith to Las Vegas late Friday.

Oregon State 61, USF 59 >> Mia Vuksic sank a jumper to put the San Francisco women ahead with 1:39 to go Sunday in Las Vegas, but Kelsey Rees’ acrobatic layup at the buzzer sent the fifth-seeded Dons home in the WCC tournament quarterfinals.
USF (15-16, 11-9 WCC) got 13 points off the bench from Vuksic and 14 more from Angeliki Ziaka to go with 18 from Freja Werth, the only member of the starting five to reach double figures, but missed shots on its final two possessions, allowing the Beavers (17-12, 12-8) to tie the game at the free throw line with 1:21 left and advance on Rees’ layup.
The win sends Oregon State into today’s semifinals, where they will face top-seeded Gonzaga for the right to play the winner of No. 3 Washington State and No. 2 Portland.
On the men’s side, No. 4 Santa Clara lost a halftime lead and was also ousted, 78-76, in a quarterfinal upset by ninth-seeded Pepperdine, which has reeled off three straight wins after winning four conference games all season to reach today’s semis against No. 1 Saint Mary’s.
No. 3 USF was still in action against No. 6 Washington State when this edition went to print to determine who will face No. 2 Gonzaga.
