Passed on January 5, 2025 Deedee was born on 2/1/1937 to Dr. and Mrs. Russell (Lois) Sterner.<br><br>Her mother passed after her birth, so Deedee lived for a time with her maternal grandparents, Frank and Lillian Jensen, in White Bear Lake.<br><br>Her father remarried (Virginia Cooper) and Deedee was then raised by her parents. She graduated from University High School in 1954 and the University of Minnesota, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1958. She had two children from her first marriage, Julie and Todd. She married the love of her life, Charles Stoddard, on 4/5/1974.<br><br>She was a devoted mother, and a dear friend to her daughter-in-law, Trish.<br><br>She was a beloved grandmother to Alexa and Connor. She was a horsewoman and rode Saddlebreds most of her life. She is survived by her husband, Chuck; son, Todd (Trish) Edlund; grandchildren, Alexa (Mike) Saunders and Connor (Eliza Herrero) Edlund.
