


Majestic hosts Golf outing to help raise money for food bank

Majestic Star Casino & Hotel recently hosted its annual charity golf outing, which raised $17,737 for the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. Steve Beekman, interim director for the Food Bank, said the funds will allow the food bank to provide 52,000 meals. The event was held at White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point, and the outing sold out with 144 golfers and 10 vendors that donated items for the outing along with taking time out of their schedules to play golf. The Diamond sponsor for this year was Sysco Foods, participating sponsors were Christina Foods, Vienna Beef and Strack & Van Til.
