The Porter County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal crash Saturday afternoon in Pleasant Township between a pickup truck and a motorcycle in which the motorcyclist died.

The wreck occurred before 2 p.m., according to a release from Sgt. Ben McFalls, public information officer for the sheriff’s department.

A male driver of a white 2021 Ford F-150 was traveling north through the intersection on Baums Bridge Road at Indiana 8 and struck the male driver of a black 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, who was heading west on Indiana 8, according to the release.

The driver of the pickup is believed to be at fault, McFalls said. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with all involved,” McFalls said.
