Joan, your complaintsabout mail delivery may well be justified, but who is at the root of the problem. Perhaps it is the Trump appointee Louis DeJoy, who has openly slowed delivery and put other constraints on the mail service.

I see former Crestwood Mayor Presta has been sentenced to a year in prison. Justice prevails, somewhat, in this case. He took the bribe and lied about it. I’d say an equally, if not more fair sentence, for those that don’t want him behind bars, would be many hours of community service. I have two good options. Picking up trash on the side of the roads in his town and spending some time at the intersections in Crestwood that have red-light cameras, holding a sign with his name on it, describing his offense!

To TMC of Tinley, lighten up on Ascend or other dispensaries. These are not the decrepit crack houses or opium dens that you seem to think they might be, they are highly regulated and taxed for their wares, and might I add marijuana is so much safer than alcohol. Also these dispensaries are great revenue raisers for the local governments where they are located.

Elon Musk holdscitizenship in three countries, South Africa, Canada and the United States. Of course, his primary allegiance is to money. Why should a person with such divided loyalties be allowed to own a platform as important to the public discourse as Twitter? One wonders where he’s getting the money for this purchase? Reporting has indicated he has had to go to the banks for the cash. He is not paying out of his own pocket. So what collateral are the banks demanding from Musk, if any? Or is this right-wing conspiracy of a corrupt billionaire and a corrupt bank? Perhaps even Russian banks.

I agree with the commentators stating high crime in Chicago is being committed by people of color. Bullets have no names and the shooting of innocent people is being committed, along with car thefts. But you also have to flip the coin and look at both sides. Whites commit crimes killing multiple people at one time. Just go back a few years and recently to the killing of innocent schoolchildren. There are too many guns in the hands of wrong people. We are the only country that cannot solve this problem. Why? It all revolves around money.

Now that we’ve established Biden is the greatest president, let’s point out his successes. He has kept inflation in check. The price of gasoline is reasonable compared to Europe and some parts of Africa. Now that he’s led the Ukrainian defense, we’ll have to rebuild that whole country. It’ll only cost a few hundred billion. Inflation is God’s way of letting you know you have too much! Admit it, spending more at the grocery store makes you a more savvy shopper! His policies have also kept down crime. Who needs looting when you can just walk into the store and take what you want? Even non-Americans are happy, just see the border cities!

I’ve never seen so many Republicans afraid of one person like they are afraid of Trump. It just goes to show you that the Republicans are spineless cowards. Look at Sonny Perdue running for governor of Georgia. He continues to spread the lies about the election. Talk about gutless, there is a prime example. They can all go visit him when he is in prison, a place where he is not in charge. They need to build a wall around Mar-a-Lago to keep Trump and his loony birds in.
