More talent at wide receiver is headed to Boulder.
Days after the Buffaloes watched three receivers — Travis Hunter, LaJohntay Wester and Jimmy Horn Jr. — get picked in the same NFL draft for the first time in program history, CU added a talented replacement to its wide receiver group with a commitment Tuesday from Florida State transfer Hykeem Williams.
The news was first reported by 247Sports. Williams has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Listed at 6-foot-2, 215 pounds by Florida State, Williams was a five-star recruit in the 2023 class who was listed as the No. 3 receiver prospect in the nation by 247Sports.
Williams played in eight games at FSU as a true freshman in 2023, finishing with five catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. He played in nine games this past season, recording 16 receptions for 187 yards and a touchdown. In two seasons at Florida State, Williams played in 17 games, collecting 21 receptions for 267 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Williams is the third receiver the Buffs have added this offseason as a transfer, joining Joseph Williams (Tulsa) and Sincere Brown (Campbell).
