Woodland law enforcement and first responders have dealt with two car collisions into buildings within 48 hours, with the latest leaving fairly extensive property damage.
On July 15, the Woodland Police Department and Woodland Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle into a building on the 300 block of West Main Street at 12:34 p.m.
Fortunately, the crash resulted in only property damage.
There were no injuries reported. Officers determined there was no medical emergency or impairment involved.
Just a day prior to the July 15 accident, the Woodland Fire Department responded to a car collision at McDonald’s on 55 W. Court St., at 9:09 a.m. It was reported that there were minor injuries, but the area was asked to be avoided as it would be closed until further notice.
“For the second time in as many days, a vehicle struck a building. Please stay alert when driving — especially in parking lots,” the police department said on Facebook. “Take a moment to check your surroundings, and always keep an eye out for pedestrians and children.”
