Eagles at Bengals (-2½)

Philly running back Saquon Barkley had a grand return to New Jersey last Sunday, as his 187 total yards topped the Giants’ team total in the Eagles’ blowout win. Donald Trump said it was the most impressive thing he has seen since the last time he saw Arnold Palmer. Pick: Eagles by 3

Ravens at Browns (+9½)

Browns fans mercilessly booed quarterback Deshaun Watson last Sunday after he ruptured his Achilles’ tendon in their loss to Cincinnati. While some were shocked by the fans’ cruelty, it’s probably the least surprising thing to happen in Cleveland since the Cuyahoga River caught fire. Pick: Ravens by 17

Jets at Patriots (+7½)

Aaron Rodgers and the Jets’ train wreck fell to 2-5 by losing last Sunday night in Pittsburgh. But on the bright side for new Jet Davante Adams, the standout receiver will be unable to lose for a third consecutive week to the Steelers. Pick: Jets by 3

Cardinals at Dolphins (-3½)

Tua Tagovailoa is returning from his latest concussion but says it’s his personal choice that he won’t be wearing one of the NFL’s protective helmet caps. This shows that, like most NFL players, the Dolphins’ QB has no interest in looking like The Great Gazoo. Pick: Dolphins by 3

Saints at Chargers (-7½)

Saints RB Alvin Kamara, who just signed a new contract extension, revealed he has played the past two weeks with a broken hand. It’s not known, however, which Las Vegas casino patron’s jaw he broke it on. Pick: Chargers by 3

Giants at Steelers (-6½)

Russell Wilson starred in the second half of his first start, living up to coach Mike Tomlin’s faith in starting him over Justin Fields. So if you’re scoring at home, the Steelers now have two competent quarterbacks, while the Giants haven’t had one since the Obama administration. Pick: Steelers by 11

Cowboys at 49ers (-5½)

San Francisco is missing both of its top receivers as Brandon Aiyuk is out for the season and Deebo Samuel is stricken with pneumonia. The Niners are now roughly 12 more serious injuries away from sinking to the Cowboys’ level. Pick: 49ers by 7

Falcons at Buccaneers (-2½)

Star receiver Chris Godwin suffered a season-ending ankle dislocation in the final minutes of their blowout loss to Baltimore. So it’s perhaps fitting that the rest of Tampa Bay’s season will now be referred to as Garbage Time. Pick: Buccaneers by 3

Panthers at Broncos (-7½)

Sean Payton has beaten all 32 NFL franchises after beating the Saints last week in New Orleans. This means Carolina coach Dave Canales trails Payton by only 31 franchises. Pick: Broncos by 11

Bears at Commanders (+2½)

Former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler recently was arrested on drunken driving and gun charges. Analysts believe it’s part of his elaborate plan to get his own reality TV series. Pick: Bears by 3

Titans at Lions (-11½)

Tennessee traded its top receiver, Deandre Hopkins, to the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. This should only boost the Titans’ drive for the No. 1 draft pick that they confirmed the moment they made Will Levis the starting quarterback. Pick: Lions by 10
