


The Cabrillo College baseball team produced a season-high run total in its 19-5 win over visiting San Francisco in nonconference action on Thursday.
The Seahawks (7-11), who have scored 10 or more runs in four of their wins, finished with 17 hits, drew eight walks and stole six bases.
Shortstop Carlos Cruz and designated hitter Jacob Fiorenza each had three hits and three RBI. Cruz scored twice and Fiorenza scored once. Oscar Knapp and Nico Hilger each had a hit, two RBI, and scored twice. Diego Grabiel had two hits, two walks, an RBI, and scored three runs. Adrian Castaneda had two hit, two RBI, and scored a run, and Truett Ross had two hits, an RBI, and scored twice.
Anthony Sullivan pitched five innings and earned the win. Tyler Toribio gave up nine runs over three innings and took the loss.
Cabrillo plays at Canada (10-8) in Redwood City on Saturday.
High school baseball
At Harbor 5, Prospect 0 >> Naiche Fish gave up two hits over five shutout innings in the Pirates’ nonleague win Thursday.
Joey Raffo tripled, drew a walk, and had two RBI. Tyson Blaschke had two hits, including a double, and one RBI. Noah Solano had a hit and RBI.
Harbor (5-0) hosts Alhambra (2-2) of Martinez on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Carmel 10, at Scotts Valley 4 >> Kit Deforest and Monte Jordan each had a hit and two RBI in the Falcons’ nonleague loss Thursday.
Matt Maxon pitched four innings and earned the win. On offense, he had two hits and scored three runs. John Beretti had three RBI.
Scotts Valley (1-4) hosts Watsonville (0-3) on Saturday at noon.
At North Monterey County 15, Pajaro Valley 0; 5 inn. >> Junior Huck Blanton struck out 11 batters and threw a five-inning no-hitter against the Grizzlies on Thursday.

High school softball
At Scotts Valley 12, Santa Teresa 2; 6 inn. >> Taylor Wilson and Chloe Kent shined at the plate in the Falcons’ nonleague win Thursday.
Wilson had five hits, including a double, four RBI, and scored twice, and Kent had four hits, including a pair of doubles, and scored four runs. Kent also pitched and earned the complete-game win.
Abby Howell and Gracie Delgado each scored twice.
Scotts Valley (4-2) plays at Carmel (2-1) on Saturday at 3 p.m.
At Aragon 9, Watsonville 6 >> Esperanza Sigala had two hits, including a double, three RBI, and scored a run in the Wildcatz’s nonleague loss Thursday.
Amelia Martinez had two hits and on RBI for Watsonville, and Ashley Callen had two hits and a run scored.
Watsonville (4-1) hosts Alisal on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Boys volleyball
Carmel 3, at Scotts Valley 0 >> Senior Otro Palma had six kills and two blocks for the Falcons in their 25-19, 25-18, 25-9 loss on Thursday.
Senior Raith Wallwork made 20 passes for the Falcons (2-3), and junior middle blocker Devin Bloom made three blocks.
College softball
Hartnell 9, at Cabrillo 0; 5 inn. >> Morgan DeVillires, a freshman out of Harbor, had the Seahawks’ lone hit, a double, in their Coast Conference loss Thursday.
Cabrillo’s Bella Fromel drew a walk.
Charlee Hoover earned the win, and Rachel Hafer took the loss.
