Teachers need vaccine ASAP: It looks like we finally have a vaccine that they’re going to start giving out to doctors, nurses, hopefully police and firefighters, and last but not least the teachers. The kids have to get back in the classroom. It’s very important. The teachers will feel safe this way, they won’t have to worry.

Give vaccine to teachers last: I read how teachers should be a priority to get the vaccine. They’ve been fighting all the time against schools opening, them and their unions. I don’t consider teachers front line people. As far as I’m concerned their last line people. They shouldn’t get the shots, they should be the last ones to get it after all the studies showing their job risk doesn’t have as much hindrance as police or firefighters or hospital personnel.

Bears need big changes: This pertains to the Chicago Bears. Why don’t the McCaskeys turn around and do to the Bears what happened in Detroit? Get rid of Pace and get rid of that no good coach Nagy. He has no idea what he is doing. Why do you think he was released from Kansas City after two games? They spotted him right away. And our manager over there, I wish he would just leave, quit. He will never get picked up by anybody else. And Pace, bye, you don’t even know how to draft.

Good Sox, bad Cubs:The Cubs are no longer the city’s best team. No fans in the seats hurt the Cubs, they play better than they really are. Sox play better with no fans in seats. Sox on the rise, Cubs in decline.

Madigan a roadblock: I read where another Madigan backer has refused to endorse his renewal as House speaker. Even though he was still short of the 60 votes needed before her announcement, hopefully it’ll persuade other Democratic Illinois legislators to do the same. Doing so will bring back a long-forgotten word — compromise — between Democrats and Republicans. No matter what party the governor was with, Madigan is the only roadblock between Illinois failure and a road back to prosperity.

Environment a priority:Fifty years ago, the environmentalists told us we were drowning in pollution. Fifty years later, the environment, at least in the United States, has never been better. It will continue to get better if the rest of the world follows the lead of the United States with the free exchange of ideas and gradual improvement in energy sources and pollution control. We must avoid government coercion and good intentions.
