City Council

• On the council choice, would somebody please notify that ultra liberal that his wish list is not what most of the citizens of this town want him to address? Also maybe include in the qualifications to be on the City Council in Longmont. You must have had a lobotomy.

• Offering congratulations to the new City Council person. He should be taught that there is a difference between governing and governance. Second, I hope he brought some window cleaner. Transparency has not been the strong suit lately at City Hall.

• Well, the City Council has done it again by making sure the complexion of the council remains safely ultra liberal. Selecting a climate change, green energy, affordable housing lefty is their way of ensuring that the terribly incompetent administration of Longmont continues. What a disgraceful demonstration.

• I was so amazed reading the newspaper this morning about all the people that stepped up to apply for the job for Ward 2. Thank you very much for all of you that put in your application to do this.

County theft

Wow, I see the Boulder County commissars are trying to steal $90 million worth of land from the taxpayers of Gunbarrel. This is definitely communism in action.

Local news

I’ve lived in Longmont for 52 years, and I love learning something new about our city. I really appreciate the front page article on the coffee roaster company, and I love seeing more of this type of news. Thank you very much. Doing a good job.

Governing angry

We should never drive when we’re in an angry and vengeful mood. We should never govern when we’re in an angry and vengeful mood.

Apartmont

What connection does the City Council have with developers? Why are they selling out our homeowners that pay property taxes for thousands of apartment dwellers that cut into our city services and overwhelm our streets with more and more traffic? This has to stop. Time to start an initiative to recall the City Council.

War’s end?

I must have missed the Times-Call’s reporting of how the war in the Ukraine ended. I’m sorry. I read the paper every day, but I sure wish you would cover those kinds of things also.

Lies instead of help

It breaks my heart that while tens of thousands of families in LA have lost their homes and nearly every belonging they had, the president has not offered one word of compassion, an “I’m sorry for your loss” or an offer of help. Instead, he and the internet trolls cast blame, lies and anger while these families experience the worst moments of their lives. Is this the great nation we have become? God save us from ourselves.
