Chris Brazzell II made a diving 16-yard touchdown catch from Nico Iamaleava midway through the fourth quarter as No. 11 Tennessee beat No. 7 Alabama 24-17 on Saturday .

Dylan Sampson rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns for the Volunteers (6-1, 3-1 Southeastern Conference). The victory keeps Tennessee in the hunt for a College Football Playoff spot.

The Crimson Tide (5-2, 2-2) have their work cut out for them the rest of the season. Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe struggled, connecting on 25 of 44 passes for 239 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Alabama rushed for just 89 yards compared to Tennessee’s 214.

Trailing 21-17, Alabama took over possession on its own 30 with 2:25 left in regulation. An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on wide receiver Kendrick Law stymied the Crimson Tide’s drive and allowed Tennessee to stretch the lead to seven with a field goal on its next possession.

Tennessee overcame three turnovers in the first half and trailed 7-0 at halftime.

Miami 52, Louisville 45 >> Ajay Allen followed Cam Ward’s fourth touchdown pass with a 2-yard, go-ahead score early in the fourth quarter, Damien Martinez added a 30-yard insurance TD run with 4:05 remaining and No. 6 Miami held off Louisville for a wild victory in Louisville, Ky. A series recently defined by high scoring added its most exciting chapter thanks to Ward, who completed a bunch of explosive plays on the way to a school-record seventh consecutive 300-yard passing performance. Miami withstood several Louisville rallies from double-digit deficits.

CLEMSON 48, VIRGINIA 31 >> Cade Klubnik threw for 308 yards and three tuochdowns and No. 10 Clemson overcame a slow start to win its sixth straight with a victory over Virginia in Clemson, S.C. Phil Mafah added two short touchdown runs as the Tigers improved to 5-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, won for the 11th time in their past 12 games .

notre dame 31, georgia tech 13 >> Riley Leonard bolstered No. 12 Notre Dame’s playoff hopes by rushing for two touchdowns and the Fighting Irish defense was dominant after a slow start in a win over Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Jeremiyah Love added a scoring run and defensive back Adon Shuler scored on a 36-yard interception return for Notre Dame.

MISSOURI 21, AUBURN 17 >> Brady Cook returned from an injury to lead No. 19 Missouri to two fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the go-ahead run by Jamal Roberts with 46 seconds to go, as the Tigers rallied for a victory over Auburn in Columbia, Mo. Cook appeared to hurt his ankle on the opening series and did not return until late in the third quarter, by which point Auburn had taken a 17-3 lead. But he promptly hit Theo Wease Jr. with a 72-yard pass to set up Marcus Carroll’s touchdown run, then led an even more dramatic drive with time running out in the fourth quarter.

Texas A&M 34, Mississippi State 24 >> Le’Veon Moss rushed for two touchdowns and No. 14 Texas A&M held off Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss. His 3-yard TD run gave the Aggies a 31-17 lead with 3:24 left in the third quarter. In his second game back after being sidelined by a shoulder injury, Texas A&M quarterback Conner Weigman was 15 of 25 for 217 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.

ARMY 45, EAST CAROLINA 28 >> Bryson Daily rushed for a career-high five touchdowns and set Army’s single-season record for rushing TDs, helping the No. 23 Black Knights beat East Carolina in West Point, N.Y.. Daily had 171 yards on 31 carries in his sixth straight 100-yard game.

NAVY 51, CHARLOTTE 17 >> Cornerback Dashaun Peele became the first Navy player to return two interceptions for touchdowns in a game, Blake Horvath threw three scoring passes and the No. 25 Midshipmen routed Charlotte in Annapolis, Md. Navy improved to 6-0 for the first time since 1979 and is 4-0 in the American Athletic Conference.
