


Drug Sales Arrest: On Feb. 7 at around 1:38 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop over on East Main Street and Pioneer Avenue on a vehicle driving with no lighting equipment. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as 30-year-old Haley Neto of Sacramento, 39-year-old Stephen Gilpatrick of Sacramento and 41-year-old Mark Campos of Woodland.
Gilpatrick initially provided a fictitious name to the officer and Campos was on searchable probation. K-9 Bruno responded and assisted with a search. As a result of the search and investigation, all three occupants were arrested. Neto was released from the scene with a notice to appear for possession of a controlled substance. Campos was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for a warrant. Gilpatrick was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for narcotic sales, delaying an investigation, and possession of a controlled substance with prior convictions.
Drug Arrest: On Feb. 9 at around 3:15 p.m., an officer witnessed a hand-to-hand drug transaction in a parking lot near the 1400 block of East Main Street. Officers detained 43-year-old Victor Ayala, of Woodland and 31-year-old Dario Gamino, of Woodland. A records check showed Ayala had a misdemeanor warrant from another jurisdiction. Both Ayala and Gamino were in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Ayala and Gamino were arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ayala was additionally booked for his warrant.
Attempted Burglary Arrest: On Feb. 10 at around 11:47 a.m., officers responded to a call for service where a man jumped a fence and was breaking into a home on the 1400 block of Midway Drive. As officers arrived, they could hear shattering glass from the rear of the house. Officers went to the backyard and detained 42-year-old Mario Chavez of Woodland. Chavez was also in possession of methamphetamine. Chavez was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for attempted burglary, vandalism, and possession of a controlled substance.
Proposition 36 Drug Arrest: On Feb. 12 at around 5:08 a.m., an officer contacted a man sleeping in a vehicle near a closed business on the 1500 block of East Street. As the officer walked up to the vehicle, he saw the occupant 39-year-old Benjamin Beatty, of Woodland with drug paraphernalia on his lap. During further investigation, officers learned Beatty had multiple convictions for prior drug related offenses. Beatty was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance with prior convictions.
Homeless Outreach Street Team Weekly Report
HOST made 48 contacts and offered services to 30 individuals; 11 accepted services. HOST tagged nine camps and cleaned up 13. HOST conducted four downtown patrols.
HOST contacted a resident from the East Beamer Way Neighborhood Campus while he was walking down County Road 102. The officer made small talk with the resident and ultimately gave the man a ride to where he needed to go. During the transport, the HOST Officer realized the person was someone who used to be addicted to drugs and had negative contacts with law enforcement.
He now lives a sober life and has been living on the campus for some time. The man made a significant lifestyle change with assistance of the Woodland Police Department and East Beamer Way for giving an opportunity and structure in his life.
