June Ono, 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday 7/12/22 in Los Angeles after a short illness. Junko “June” Ono was born August 21,1926 in Pomona CA to Takeichi & Mina Nakashima. She married Roy Ono in March 1947. Their marriage lasted for 60 years until he passed away in 2007. She was a hairdresser during most of her life, making many friends. With her positive attitude, she turned life’s challenges into opportunities. She had a joy of life and curiosity to match. She had many interests during her life but was most known by her family & friends for her love of music as well as having a wonderful singing voice. She will always be remembered for her great kindness and generosity in helping numerous family members and friends in need.

She was a bright light and loved by family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of the Foothills at Douglass & Zook Mortuary, 600 E. Foothill Blvd, Monrovia CA 91016.
