In what promises to be not the sort of circus your mom and dad took you to when you were a kid, Paranormal Cirque will be setting up its big black and red tent outside Orland Square Mall in Orland Park.

With six shows slated for Thursday through Sunday , the event bills itself as blending elements of circus, illusion, theater and cabaret, but with healthy helpings of horror, adult language and material.

It’s recommended for mature audiences, and those under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, according to Paranormal Cirque.

The tent will be set up in the east parking lot of the mall, northeast of LaGrange Road and 151st Street, between JC Penney and H & M.

Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday and at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are available now and can be purchased through the website paranormalcirque.com/tickets, or by phone at 941-704-8572.

There will also be a box office on site starting Tuesday, with the office open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and show days and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on non-show days.

Paranormal Cirque is currently performing in Springfield and after Orland Park will settle in for several shows at Gurnee Mills in Gurnee before heading to Wisconsin, according to its tour schedule.
