Kathi was a Monterey Peninsula resident from 1973 to 2016. She was a carrier for the Monterey Herald, distributing newspapers to Carmel Valley daily from 1979 to 1993. She drove cab #8 with Monterey Yellow Cab and Carmel Taxi for over a decade and was a favorite driver for many locals. She and her spouse Robert Buswell opened Associated Taxi in 2005, which they operated together until retiring in 2016. She passed away at 76 in Hennessey, OK. She is survived by Robert, son Sage Krystal, daughters Laurel Kromer, Camomile Buswell, and Ginger Buswell, and seven grandchildren.<br><br>A Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 4th at Monterey Peninsula American Legion, 1110 Veterans Dr, Monterey.
