Broomfield basketball: The Eagles boys’ team fell to 6A No. 1 Ralston Valley by just five on Tuesday, then bounced back with big wins over Skyline and Centaurus. The girls beat Skyline and Centaurus before falling to 6A No. 1 Valor Christian on Saturday.
Broomfield boys wrestling: The Eagles took fourth at the 35-team Rodriguez Tournament of Champions at Eaglecrest High School on Saturday. Nicholas Penfold (138s) won his weight bracket.
Erie boys wrestling: The Tigers finished fourth at the 28-team War Horse Invitational in Littleton over the weekend. Hunter Waneka (150s) and Carson Hageman (190s) won their weight brackets.
Fairview girls swimming: The Knights won all 12 events in a dual over Monarch on Thursday. Amelia Mason (100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke) and Claire Burkhard (200 IM and 500 freestyle) each won twice. Then on Saturday, they finished second at the 30-team Mustang Invite.
Frederick girls basketball: The Golden Eagles (8-3), who have won four of their past five games, beat Centaurus and Skyline last week. Senior Zoe Wittler leads the team with 14.7 points per game.
Longmont boys basketball: The Trojans moved their win streak to six games last week, beating Fairview on Tuesday and Niwot on Friday.
Lyons girls basketball: The Lions improved to 6-1 on the season, beating Estes Park and Bishop Machebeuf last week. Sophomore Ava Vasquez combined for 25 points across both games, including a career-high 16 in the win over Bishop Machebeuf on Friday.
Meads girls wrestling: The Mavericks finished second at the 19-team Tournament of Knights at Severance High School on Saturday. Renee Hudson (110s), Erin Young (120s) and Grace Sierra (125s) all won their weight bracket.
Monarch ice hockey: The 5A No. 1 Coyotes (7-1-2) won three times in four nights last week, beating defending champ Regis Jesuit, Valor Christian and Cherry Creek.
Peak to Peak boys basketball: The 4A No. 1 Pumas beat DSST: Cedar and Green Mountain last week to improve to 9-0 on the season. Elijah Eschmeyer leads the team at 13.6 PPG, 4.5 RPG and 3.6 BPG.

Spencer Brown, Fairview basketball: The senior had a season-high 32 points on 10-of-16 shooting in the Knights’ overtime win over Legacy on Friday.
Matthew Clifton, Legacy wrestling: The junior won the 132-pound bracket at the 24-team Arvada West Invitational over the weekend. He’s 21-2 on the season.
Alexandra Eschmeyer, Peak to Peak basketball: The senior scored 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting in a win over DSST: Cedar on Wednesday. She also had 13 rebounds and four blocks.
Logan Laverty, Monarch basketball: The senior had 77 points across three games last week, shooting 25 of 51 from the field. He scored a career-high 34 on 58% shooting in a loss to Horizon on Saturday.
Olivia Mortensen, Legacy basketball: Across two games last week, the senior had 54 points, 20 rebounds and nine steals. This year, she’s averaging 23.9 points, 14.3 rebounds and 4.3 steals.
Chris Smith, Erie basketball: The junior went 6 for 10 from behind the arc and scored 22 points in a win over Rocky Mountain on Friday, setting the school’s career record for 3s. Smith now has 136 3s with the Tigers. This year, he’s shooting lights-out from deep, connecting on 23 of his 58 attempts (40%).
JR Spence, Centaurus wrestling: Spence won the 126-pound bracket at the 24-team Arvada West Invitational over the weekend, tallying two pins and a major decision. Teammate Mason Shore won at 190s.
Virginia Walsh, Centaurus swimming: She won the 50-yard freestyle at the 30-team Mustang Invite on Saturday. Her time of 24.18 seconds is the sixth-fastest time swam this year in the sport. She also finished second in the 100 butterfly.
Sienna Williams, Monarch basketball: The sophomore had 20 points on 50% shooting to go along with 23 rebounds and eight blocks in a win over Holy Family on Tuesday. She’s averaging 20.5 points, 18.3 rebounds and 5.4 blocks this season.
Carter Woods, Mead wrestling: After a dominant season on Mead’s defensive line, Woods is having quite the start to the winter wrestling season as well. He won the 190-pound bracket at the 17-team Pueblo Centennial Invitational over the weekend. Teammate Hunter Humphrey won at 165s.
