


3 fun movie events coming up
• San Rafael resident David Creech co-directed “Sequoia Spirits,” a dance film by UpSwing Aerial Dance Company and Symmetricity, which can be seen from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. tonight through Sunday at the Salesforce Tower Top Canvas at 415 Mission St. in San Francisco. After that, it will be shown from midnight to 1 a.m. daily through February.
• A screening of “Do I Need This?,” former Marin resident Kate Schermerhorn’s documentary about consumerism, is at 6 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Fairfax Women’s Club at 46 Park Road in Fairfax. Admission is $10 at the door. RSVP in advance to Anne Mannes at amannes@townoffairfax.org.
• Dragon Dance Films will show three local short films at 6 p.m. March 1 at the Fairfax Community Church at 2398 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in Fairfax. San Anselmo singer-songwriter Hannah Bourke will open the evening with a short performance. Admission is free with RSVP. Go to eventbrite.com.
