Dorothy LouAnn Fotheringham passed away peacefully in Woodland, California on Sunday, May 4, 2025, after a lengthy illness. She was 89, and was surrounded by family at her passing.
Dorothy LouAnn Fisher was born in Milford, Utah to Parley Vance Fisher and Luella Fisher on September 12, 1935.
She attended school in Milford, where she met the love of her life, Douglas Farrell Fotheringham, Airman First Class, USAF.
The two married on December 15, 1951, and spent the next 62 years together. In 1964, they moved the family from Milford to Woodland where they raised their four children. Dorothy was active in the Soroptimist Club, the Chamber of Commerce, and played on local softball teams, while working at Creative Stationery, which was owned by her father, Bishop Vance Fisher. She and Farrell later took over the business until it closed in 2000.
Many in Woodland will remember Dorothy operating the snack bar and assisting Farrell with the operation of Winter League Baseball. Their house was often filled with young athletes and friends of their children. All kids loved to hang out at the Fotheringham house, which had an awesome game room in the basement.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Vance and Luella Fisher, her husband, Farrell Fotheringham, her brother, Richard Fisher, her son, Chris Farrell Fotheringham, and grandson, Christopher Crumpacker.
She is survived by her children, Michael Fotheringham (Patricia) of Mapleton, Utah, Patty Crumpacker (Tom) of Woodland, and Colleen Bellotti (Mike) of Bend, Oregon.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren -Megan, Eric, Lisa, Brooke; Brittney, Lee, Kaylie; Luke, Keri, Sean - and 12 great grandchildren - Evangelina, Owen; Mason, Ellie, Cassidy; Marguerite; Zahra, Dean; Jeremiah, Asher, Willow and Levi.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, at the Woodland Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 850 Pioneer Ave. in Woodland, California (95776), with Bishop Jorge Henneke officiating.
Following the Services, Interment will take place at Monument Hill Memorial Park, located at 35036 CR-22, Woodland.
