One person has died as a result of a crash Friday morning involving a vehicle and pedestrian.

According to a Boulder Police Department post on X, at 4:58 a.m., officers were dispatched to a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle north of the intersection of Broadway and Rayleigh Road.

A 2004 Honda Accord was traveling north on Broadway when the driver struck a woman north of the crosswalk. The 38-year-old woman was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the post.

The 27-year-old driver remained on scene and was cooperative with police. According to the post, there were no initial indications of driver speed or impairment being a factor in the crash.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and next of kin.

In the 6:07 a.m. post, police said Broadway northbound at Ash Avenue is closed but in a 10:25 a.m. update the police posted that the roadway had reopened.
