Gordon Lee Forney passed away last Thursday after avaliant 20+ year battle with Parkinson’s. He lived his life to the fullest even with his physical limitations and never complained.
He was an avid reader, loved playing his guitar and write songs and stories.
Lee was born in Portland, Oregon. His family shortly thereafter moved to the Bay Area. First living in San Francisco and then in San Jose. He attended Pioneer High School in San Jose, but received his GED while in the U.S. Army serving from 1968 -1972. After completing 2 tours in Vietnam, he worked atvarious jobs. In the latter part of his life, heworked for Raychem Corporation in Redwood City for 7years (now closed), as an exterminator for 7 years, cab and delivery driver for 4 years and finally asapayroll delivery driver with ADP for 3years before retiring early due to his Parkinson’s.
Lee issurvived byhis loving wife, Ana, and their devoted children, Clinton (CJ) and Evan. He is also survived by his children from previous marriages, Jerold Desmond (JD), John and Eric and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Forney, Sr. and Myrtle Forney as well as his sister, Joan, and brother, Frank, Jr.
There will be a private funeral service held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. atSneider &Sullivan & O’Connell’s, 977 S.
El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA 94402.
