Thomas Vincent Bruno, 87, passed away peacefully on May 2,2024.

Tom grew up in Monterey and lived near Jacks Ballpark.

As a youth, he recorded the shot heard around the peninsula as he cleared the Sunset Center from the baseball field in Carmel. Tom played in several Socko Leagues and sports became Tom’s lifelong passion as he followed his beloved 49ers, Giants, Warriors, Golfing and entering in many Golf Invitationals. Tom was known to visit all family members games, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren. As a youth Tom became a sensational Pool Player. People traveled to try their luck against Tom, he was that good.

Tom was Monterey’s Ancestry Guru. He could tell you about your own Grandfather, what he did for a living, who he married, who else he was related to and then give you a funny story that you never knew about. When you were puzzled about where your grandmother came from - Call Tom. Tom knew more people in the Monterey - Pittsburgh corridor than anyone. His knowledge of the Italian community was staggering.

Tom worked with Ace Music running a vending machine concession that took him throughout Monterey county, adding to his many relationships. He worked for Coca Cola and ended up with afull career with the City of Monterey.

As a family man, Tom was legendary. Tom loved his family and there was never an ask that was denied, a thing left undone, or a person left wanting. Tom was a devoted husband and caregiver. He spent his life in the service of others and was always checking on family and friends to ensure that they were ok. The testimony of Tom’s family is filled with love, stories and laughs.

Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years (Angie); Daughters Tammy (Joel) Tracey (Georg) Marcie (Mitch); Grandchildren, Shalae, Thomas, David, Joshua, Kody, Nicholas and 5 Great grandchildren; Sister in Law Anna, Nephews Frank (Cindi), Mike (Tina) and all the great nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his brothers Frank (Stoney), Bobby; Nephews Anthony, Stevie and Frank Michael.

Services will be held on May 28th, 2024 at San Carlos Church, Monterey @ 9:30 AM . Burial will follow at Monterey El Encinal Cemeterio.
