It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Diane Morse on January 7, 2025, at the age of 81.
Judy was born in Buffalo, NY, on October 4, 1943, and received undergraduate and advanced degrees from SUNY Buffalo. One of her varied careers was as the Director of the Early Childhood Education program at the Lone Mountain campus of the University of San Francisco.
Judy’s life was a testament to joy, warmth, and boundless love. A bubbly, vivacious, and fun-loving spirit, Judy made an unforgettable mark on the lives of everyone she encountered.
Judy truly embodied her nickname, “Bubbles.” Judy's family was her greatest treasure. Judy is survived by her husband, Bruce Morse, children Jay Shaffer and Leah Rothman, stepchildren, Marjorie Brindley and Stephen Morse, and nine grandchildren.
Judy’s kindness, compassion, love and zest for life created lasting memories for all who knew her. Judy was the heart and soul of every gathering. Known for her infectious and fun-loving personality, she truly was the life of the party. Judy’s love for her family was immeasurable, and her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, each of whom was blessed to experience Judy’s unwavering affection and love.
Judy leaves behind a tremendous legacy—one of joy, love, connection, and a reminder to always find the fun in life.
A private service will be held in her honor, and the family asks that those who knew and loved Judy carry her vibrant spirit with them.
