Crossword puzzle
I want to agree with a comment that’s in the TC column (Tuesday). This is a comment that the crossword puzzle, the new one, is awful. I would vote for you returning the Mathews crossword. Zawistowski’s puzzles are full of things you’ve never heard of, of clues you can’t figure out and have long phrases that are impossible to put together. So, please bring back the Mathews crossword puzzles.
New campground
I just wanted to say a quick shout out of thanks for the new parking lot/campground that we have now in the old Walmart parking lot off of Nelson. Come one, come all, because clearly anyone can park there and live there now.
Biden, TikTok
So it appears Biden forgot that he banned TikTok use by government offices. However, if Biden’s campaign spends millions on their TikTok presence, who gets that money? China?
Trump’s harm
• In Tuesday’s TC Line, the caller asked, “Has (Donald Trump) harmed (me) in any personal way?” Yes, he has. Also, the caller stated, “You would have to admit the country was exponentially better off under Trump.” That is factually wrong. At my age, I don’t have the time to try and convince a cult that their leader is destroying the country. All I know is I only support people for president that are loyal to America.
• This is in response to the caller who claimed Donald Trump’s handling of the pandemic harmed them. They’ve conveniently forgotten that he (banned travel from) China immediately. … His administration also sped up the process of vaccines at an unprecedented rate.
Taxing Social Security
I’m calling in regard to the rejection of the Colorado income tax cut. Who’s the idiot that said that Colorado does not tax Social Security? I’m 87 years old, and for 24 years now, Colorado has taxed 85% of my Social Security. I will also be paying that this year, so that is a complete lie.
Value of immigrants
Once again … Catherine Rampell hits the nail on the head. Americans don’t appreciate the value of immigrants to our economy. They are valuable.
Puppet master
Puppets dance by (the) pulling (of) a string. It’s fun to be the puppet master. You get to make them dance and weep and flail all over. You can even make them vote to ban a flavor. If you would like to be the puppet master, sign up and run for mayor. The puppets don’t care who’s pulling the strings. It might as well be you.
