Born March 27, 1981 Royal Oak, MI, Died: October 5, 2024 Kalkaska, MI. Ben was proceeded in death by his father Frank Reeser Jr (June, 2020). He is survived by his mother Nancy Reeser-Pierce and his stepfather Thomas Pierce of Gladwin, MI, his brothers Frank Reeser III (Kristi) of Spring Lake, MI, Richard Reeser (Jody) of Gunnison, CO, Nicholas Reeser (Raina) of St John’s, MI, half brother Thomas McCarthy (Christine) of South Lyons, MI and stepbrother Steven Pierce of Grand Rapids, MI and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ben was raised in Berkley, MI by his mother and father. He attended school in the Royal Oak Shrine system graduating in 1999. He went on to graduate from Northern Michigan University in 2004 with a degree in construction management. After college Ben moved to Colorado to work with his brother Rich in the construction trade. Initially living in Dillon and later Crested Butte. He also moonlighted as a bartender in Crested Butte where he was well known and loved by many. Ben returned to Michigan to pursue his career in construction. He was an accomplished carpenter that took great pride in his work. Satisfied customers are found from Traverse City to Gladwin, MI. Above all was Ben’s love of the outdoors, especially fishing. He was an expert fly fisherman that shared his love for the sport with anyone and everyone. Whether fishing northern Michigan streams, Colorado rivers, or a frozen lake no one was a better sportsman. Ben’s infectious smile and heart of gold will be missed by his entire family and innumerable friends and acquaintances from Michigan to Colorado. A celebration of Ben’s life will be held on November 16, 2024 at Riverwalk Hotel and Grill, 777 E Cedar, Gladwin, MI 48624.
