San Jose, CA

Maryanne passed away on March 15, 2025. At her side were Mark (husband), Maureen (daughter), and Michele (sister). Maryanne grew up in Santa Cruz and later moved to San Jose where she initially worked as a loan underwriter for a mortgage banking firm.

Later she moved on to working in retail before finding her niche as an Administrative Assistant at the San Jose Police Officer’s Association (SJPOA) where she spent 17 years.

Maryanne loved life and people and was a positive influence on countless lives. She dabbled in watercolor painting and gifted many friends and family with cards that featured her watercolor paintings of trees, mountains, and places that caught her eye.

In addition, she loved scrapbooking. Maryanne went on numerous scrapbooking weekends with family and friends and one bookcase in the family room is filled with her scrapbooks. She themed them by year, events, and special occasions.

She also enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible.

Either tending the garden in the backyard or hiking. Particularly Lake Tahoe, Truckee and Auburn where she often visited and collected pinecones. Maryanne also loved to golf. She either helped organize or played in numerous golf tournaments. She especially enjoyed golfing with her father at Spyglass.

Maryanne is survived by her mother Claire Tedsen, brothers Donald Tedsen Jr., Jimmy Tedsen (Debbie), and Mark Tedsen (Stacey), and sister Michele Fazzino (Brian), as well as many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Maryanne loved talking with everyone she met. She had the knack of learning the life story of strangers she met in line at the checkout in any store. She was loved and will be missed by many, many people. All of whom will keep her memory alive for years to come.

ACelebration of Life will be held at the San Jose Police Officer’s Association Hall (1151 North 4th Street San Jose, CA 95112) on Saturday May 3, 2025. Arrival 12:30, Service at 1:00.
