Friendly reminder to all of the fireworks obsessed people: please have some respect for all of the veterans in your neighborhood. Many of them suffer from PTSD and the Fourth of July celebrations, with the constant neighborhood fireworks, are unbearable for them to tolerate.

To all the supporters of the current resident of the White House and Putin asset, all you have to do is watch the two of them laughing about the interference in the 2016 election and then you will understand “This is the price you will pay for being ignorant, your freedom!”

It’s fair to say that many of those Democratic candidates can now drop out. It’s also fair to say that many of them had no business entertaining the thought of running. This is a serious race and only serious candidates should be considered.

If more guns made us safer, we would be the safest country on earth.

Jared Kushner, a.k.a. the boy wonder, arrived in Bahrain with his “deal of the century” that was supposed to offer a new way out of the Israel/Palestine conflict. Nobody bought his nonsense. People there are not impressed by his simple credentials of being just a son-in-law to the president.

Does anyone wonder why Trump can’t simply just tell the truth? Why does he have to make up lies about his opponents? Why does he have to lie about all of the things he has done, and continues to do? Because the truth will sink him in a second.

Trump’s hand-picked Fed Chairman Jerome Powell — is now facing Trump’s wrath. Trump claimed that he is not doing a good job, because he is not allowing Trump to control the interest rates. “He’s a guy — nobody ever heard of him before. I made him, and he wants to show how tough he is, okay.“ Why does Trump have to demean and insult everyone if he can’t control them? Oh yeah, the control issue.

Rep. Duncan Hunteris charged with abusing campaign funds. He tried to blame his wife for the “accounting errors.” Records came to light where he spent these funds on multiple affairs with congressional office aides, three lobbyists, and another woman who worked for another member of the House of Representatives. The jerk had the audacity to try to blame his wife for his affairs, just a special kind of cruelty right there.

Okay, I’ll say it. Robert Mueller got all kinds of credit for being a no-nonsense prosecutor who would deftly get to the bottom of the whole Trump fiasco. Instead, he plucked a lot of low-hanging fruit, in Paul Manafort, Michael Cohen, and a few other nobodies, while he tip-toed like a timid school girl around the real malefactor, Trump, finally getting thoroughly schooled by the smarmy Attorney General, William Barr. Now he has reluctantly agreed to testify before Congress, but only if he can avoid things “he doesn’t want to talk about.” Like maybe his whole failed investigation?

Matt Schlapp, the Chair of the American Conservative Union, and husband of a White House adviser, has called for the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Roberts. “I’m for impeaching the Chief Justice for lying to all of us about his support of the Constitution. He is responsible for Robertscare and now he is angling for vast numbers of illegal residents to help Dems hold Congress. Enough Deception from GOP judges on the Constitution.”

Are the Republicans not aware that judges are supposed to formulate opinions based on the law and/or their interpretation of the Constitution, not based along partisan lines?

Funny how the GOP thinks, they want to lock up and remove everyone except their leader, who has actually done things, removable things.

Sometimes states behave badly. That’s why we had a civil war. But the current conservative majority on the Supreme Court is throwing in the towel on controlling states’ often unconstitutional behavior. Nothing we can do about it, they piously intone. States will have to fix things themselves. Lots of luck with that. Since the offending states are more often than not from the south, it appears that they won the war after all. What would Lincoln think?
