Stolen Vehicle Arrest: On May 30 at 9:08 p.m., an officer was conducting an extra patrol in the area near the 1000 block of Court Street and located a previously reported stolen vehicle. There was video surveillance of the vehicle being stolen, and one of the subjects was identified as 31 31-year-old Gario Gamino, of Woodland. As the officer went to conduct a follow-up on the stolen vehicle, he located Gamino nearby and detained him. As a result of the investigation, Gamino was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for stealing and being in possession of a stolen vehicle.

Parole Violation Arrest: On June 1 at around 11:10 a.m., officers saw a male subject who was lying on the sidewalk and checked on his welfare near the 1800 block of Pioneer Avenue. The male was 59-year-old Timothy Williams, of Woodland. Officers tried to assist Williams, but he was unable to care for himself due to his level of intoxication. A records check showed Williams was on CDC Parole and had a warrant from an outside agency. Medical personnel arrived to help with Williams. In doing so, Williams struck one of the medics. As a result, Williams was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail for public intoxication, battery on medical personnel, and a parole violation.

Robbery Arrest: On June 1 at around 3:42 p.m., officers responded to the location of the 2000 block of Freeway Drive for an armed robbery. The victim reported being robbed at knifepoint while he was trying to sell shoes and clothes to a private party. Further investigation led officers to contact two juveniles, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old. Both juveniles were arrested and booked at the Yolo County Juvenile Detention Facility for robbery and conspiracy.

Drug Arrest: On June 4 at around 10:59 p.m., an officer responded to a call for service near the 1600 block of Tide Court where a subject was possibly siphoning gas from a parked vehicles. While responding to the location, the officer contacted a person matching the description. 45-year-old Curtis Garcia, of Woodland was contacted and smelled strongly of gasoline. Garcia was known to be on CDC Parole. The officer conducted a search of Garcia’s clothing and revealed he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Garcia was arrested and transported to the Yolo County Jail. During the transport and booking process, it was determined Garcia had fentanyl concealed in a sock which he tried to discard within the patrol vehicle. As a result, Garcia was additionally booked for narcotics charges and concealing evidence.

HOST made 78 contacts and offered services to 48 individuals, 10 accepted service. HOST tagged 9 camps and cleaned up 14. HOST conducted 12 downtown patrols.

HOST, Community Enhancement, and Crime Prevention communicated with various business owners to highlight the importance of implementing video surveillance systems as a means to deter vandalism. Furthermore, discussions were held with residents (including unhoused) in adjacent areas, urging them to report any suspicious activity immediately. It is essential for residents to promptly inform authorities about any unusual behavior in order to prevent future incidents of vandalism.
