The NBA has reached a 95% vaccination threshold of its players, reflecting a solid rise since the opening of training camps earlier this week, ESPN reported Thursday night.
That increase, which includes players who have received one vaccination shot, comes as unvaccinated players prepare for losses of salary for games missed in the San Francisco and New York due to local mandates.
Shortly before the opening of camps, the NBA had approximately 90% of its players vaccinated.
The NBA and the players’ union agreed on strict policies for unvaccinated players this season.
Instant replay of out-of-bounds violations in the final two minutes of regulation or OT of games this season will be initiated by a coach’s challenge, rather than referees. The change was approved for a one-year trial.

Soccer: The North Carolina Courage of the National Women’s Soccer League fired coach Paul Riley after allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct, including claims of sexual coercion, stretching back more than a decade were detailed in a report by The Athletic.
