Two male teens were shot to death at a Markham gas station Sunday evening, according to a police spokesman.
The shootings occurred at a BP station northeast of 167th Street and Pulaski Road but police were not providing more details.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified those shot as 16-year-old Demari Stephens and 18-year-old Carlos Slaughter, of the 100 block of Williamsburg Road in Country Club Hills.
No address was available for Stephens and both were pronounced dead at about 8:15 p.m., according to the medical examiner.
Stephens suffered multiple gunshot wounds and Slaughter died of a gunshot wound to the torso, according to the medical examiner, which ruled their deaths as homicides.
Markham police are being assisted by the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.
