Keys for the Vikings
>> The return of star receiver Justin Jefferson is finally here. It’ll be important for the Vikings to get him involved as quickly as possible. He’s the best player on the team, and there’s no reason to operate with training wheels on now that he’s back to 100 percent.
>> It feels as if the only way the Vikings lose this game is if quarterback Josh Dobbs turns the ball over. He did it four times in a frustrating loss to the Chicago Bears. That left the door open for the Vikings potentially making a change at quarterback. Now that head coach Kevin O’Connell has made the decision to stick with Dobbs, there needs to be tangible improvement when it comes to taking care of the football.
Keys for the Raiders
>> There should be an opportunity for star receiver Davante Adams to eat against a young Vikings secondary. It’s on the Raiders to feed him with regularity. If they can get Adams rolling, it should help rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell establish a rhythm. That needs to be a point of emphasis for the offense.
>> If pass rusher Maxx Crosby can find a way to make Dobbs uncomfortable, there is a chance for the Raiders to force some turnovers. Not only does Crosby have 11 1/2 sacks this season, he has made a habit of consistently coming through in the biggest moments.
