Cal Raleigh hit his major league-leading 32nd home run on Monday, one of four by the Seattle Mariners in their 11-2 victory over the host Minnesota Twins.

Raleigh hit a two-run shot to left in the ninth inning off reliever Joey Wentz.

Julio Rodríguez and Luke Raley homered as part of a six-run third inning for Seattle. Dominic Canzone, who homered twice on Sunday, went deep again for the Mariners, while Bryan Woo (7-4) gave up two runs and struck out nine to win his second straight start.

Trevor Larnach and Carlos Correa hit back-to-back homers in the sixth inning for Minnesota, which has lost 14 of its past 17.

Cardinals 8, Cubs 2: Alec Burleson and Brendan Donovan each hit two-run homers in the fifth inning, Matthew Liberatore pitched seven strong innings and host St. Louis beat Chicago.

Lars Nootbaar and Nolan Gorman also homered as the Cardinals hit a season-best four home runs for the first time since April 30 at Cincinnati.

Liberatore (5-6) allowed two runs on six hits and struck out five for the Cardinals, who have won six of their past seven games.

The Cubs have lost four of their past five.

Orioles 6, Rangers 0: Trevor Rogers allowed three hits in a career-high eight innings in his home debut, Jackson Holliday hit a three-run homer and drove in the game’s first four runs and host Baltimore beat Texas with the game temperature reaching 100 degrees.

Rogers (1-0) made his third start and turned in the longest outing by an Oriole this season, throwing 72 of his 101 pitches for strikes.

Braves 3, Mets 2: Ronald Acuña Jr. homered, Spencer Schwellenbach pitched seven strong innings and visiting Atlanta held off New York in the opener of a four-game series.

Michael Harris II and Sean Murphy each had an early sacrifice fly for the Braves, who beat starter Paul Blackburn (0-2) for the second time in six days.

Juan Soto hit a two-run homer that pulled the Mets within one, but he struck out against left-hander Dylan Lee with runners at the corners to end the eighth.

Reds 6, Yankees 1: Elly De La Cruz homered, tripled and drove in three runs as host Cincinnati defeated New York.

Gavin Lux also went deep for the Reds, who have won two straight and 11 of 16.

Aaron Judge accounted for the Yankees’ run with his 28th homer.

Reds release infielder Candelario: Jeimer Candelario — the Reds’ highest-priced signing of the past six seasons — has seen his tenure in Cincinnati end. The Reds designated the oft-injured infielder for assignment Monday before their game against the New York Yankees.

Candelario signed a three-year, $45 million contract in December 2023. He is owed nearly $23 million, including $7,983,871 for the remainder of this season, $12 million for next season and a $3 million buyout for 2027.

Candelario, 31, was batting .113 (9 of 80) in 22 games this season. He had been sidelined since late April due to a lumbar spine strain.

Orioles’ Handley on concussion IL: The Baltimore Orioles placed catcher Maverick Handley on the seven-day concussion injured list a day after he was knocked over in a collision at the plate with Jazz Chisholm Jr. of the Yankees on Sunday.
