Summer is heating up.
The hot temperatures are sticking around, but that also means the city of Claremont’s wading pools are now open, bringing a seasonal opportunity for young children to cool down.
The three water features for toddlers and young children are open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Memorial Park, 840 N. Indian Hill Blvd.; El Barrio Park, 400 Claremont Blvd.; and Wheeler Park, 626 Vista Drive.
The last day of the season for the wading pools will take place Aug. 23.
Additionally, the wading pools at Memorial and Wheeler parks will be open for “Twilight Swims” from 5 to 7 p.m. July 30 and Aug. 7.
The three pools were closed during the pandemic and then they underwent repairs before reopening in 2024.
