A Chicago Heights man was shot to death Monday in Calumet City and a Sauk Village woman was shot and killed in Riverdale, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Chevelle Chenault-Pouncy, of the 1300 block of Shields Avenue, was shot Monday in the 200 block of Madison Avenue, Calumet City, according to the medical examiner’s office.

He was pronounced dead shortly after 11 p.m. at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the office.

He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.

In Riverdale, 27-year-old Yasneena Leree Harris, of the 2400 block of East 223rd Street in Sauk Village, was shot Oct. 25 in the 400 block of Pacesetter Parkway.

She suffered multiple gunshot wounds and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office, who said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene just before 7 a.m.

Messages left with police in Calumet City and Riverdale seeking additional information were not immediately returned.
