Noteworthy: The junior guard had a triple-double in her season-opener with 23 points, 10 assists and 10 steals in St. Anthony’s 78-27 win over Patriot on Nov. 18. Hughes followed that game with 20 points in a 55-30 victory over Marina on Nov. 20. She also scored 16 points in a 49-32 win over San Juan Hills on Nov. 21 and 19 points in a 72-52 loss to Fairmont Prep in the championship game of the Oxford Academy Tournament on Nov. 23. Through her first five games, Hughes averaged 20.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 5.6 steals per game.
