If you think only humans don costumes for Halloween, you’ve never been to Dog Daze.
On Saturday, all kinds of dogs dressed up for the 11th Annual Dog Daze Canine Festival & Costume Contest.
The event at Aldergate Dog Park in Menifee featured contests, raffles and vendors.
But the highlight was the costume contest, which featured dogs dressed as Dr. Seuss characters, the house from the animated film “Up” and as a VW van. Organizers handed out trophies for the cutest, scariest and best pet — and human — costumes.
The festival was organized by the Valley-Wide Recreation & Park District.
