MILLBRAE >> A man died Monday morning after his motorcycle collided with a semitruck, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Around 6 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a collision near El Camino Real and Park Boulevard, authorities said.

Police found that the adult male motorcyclist was severely injured in the crash, and he was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, authorities added. He died at the hospital.

The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the man Wednesday as 29-year-old Holden Lewis Bibas, a resident of Marin County.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team is conducting an investigation into the collision. The adult male driver of the semitruck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, authorities said.

El Camino Real northbound was closed between Park Boulevard and Santa Inez Avenue for four hours following the crash.
