Newspaper’s politics
Again, an article in the paper about those supporting Ukraine taking action in Russia without mentioning that Russia is continuing to bomb children, schools and more in Ukraine. This clearly tells you what the politics of those that control some of what goes into this newspaper are. If you don’t understand that, I’m sorry.
TikTok
I’m not clear on the editorial page cartoon about China phobia, if the cartoonist is for or against TikTok. I would urge anyone who intends to download the TikTok app to read its complete terms of service and understand you’re granting permission to TikTok to access your phone data, including text messages. Are you OK with this?
Snow on cars
I just want to know why the police maybe are not ticketing people who are not cleaning off their back windows and their lights on their vehicles. I keep watching people clean their cars off, and I saw one just a little bit ago, and they never clean the snow off their back window. I mean, how dangerous is that. Anyway, and their lights. … Just thought I’d mention it. … Were are the cops when we need them?
Half pages
• This is about half pages in the paper. Please keep those half pages in the paper. They’re advertisements that help the paper’s financial income. It’s like anything else. If there’s something in the paper you don’t want to read, don’t read it. What a concept, huh?
• I think if a vote of the Times-Call customers was taken, the majority would say the half pages were a real tease. You have to remove those pieces before you can even read the paper. I refuse to look at those ads.
Dacono dirt bikes
Hey, Dacono Police Department, can’t you do something about the ATVs and dirt bikes running up and down the street and on our sidewalks?
TC delivery
Here is a shout out to our Times-Call delivery person. Thursday morning, I discovered tire tracks in the snow in our driveway on Dartmouth Circle. I was curious as to who would pull into the driveway during a blizzard until I found the paper up by the porch. What a nice surprise. Thank you, delivery person.
Lucky cyclist
Friday night was somebody’s lucky night. It was a bicyclist crossing Ninth Avenue with dark clothing and no lights and the little reflectors on your spokes, the main thing that kept me from running over you and making Friday … the last day of your life. You might want to think about that.
Happiness
I believe that it was President Abraham Lincoln (who) once said that people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be. So with that advice, I would say in seeking happiness for others, you will find it out for yourself.
