1 Jim Walker was born in Oakland and raised in Walnut Creek.

2 He enjoys rock climbing, surfing and mountain biking.

3 He teaches geology at Diablo Valley College.

4 He doesn’t have a favorite fossil. “It’s like asking somebody what their favorite puzzle piece is. I enjoy the puzzle part of putting all those pieces together, and seeing what the world looked like.”
