Nashville, Tenn. >> Jose Cifuentes scored the go-ahead go early in the second half, leading Los Angeles FC to a 2-1 win Sunday over Nashville.

LAFC’s Christian Arango scored in the 27th minute, but Hany Mukhtar tallied for Nashville just before halftime to even the score.

Cifuentes’ goal, off a rebound, came in the 46th minute to put LAFC ahead for good.

Goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau saved two of the three shots he faced for LAFC. Joe Willis saved three of the five shots he faced for Nashville.

Recently signed midfielder Gareth Bale made his LAFC debut in the 72nd minute, coming on for Arango.

The former Real Madrid and Tottenham star was welcomed by a sold-out Nashville crowd and a vocal traveling contingent of LAFC supporters.
