Anne Hathaway took it way back Wednesday with a tribute to the 20th anniversary of the “Princess Diaries” sequel — and Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway” — just months after confirming a third installment is in the works.

The Oscar winner, 41, shared an Instagram carousel that began with a clip of Clarkson’s music video, followed by several behind-the-scenes shots from 2004’s “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.”

“Happy 20th anniversary to #PrincessDiaries2 and @kellyclarkson’s Breakaway!” Hathaway wrote.

The video for the movie soundtrack’s single shows Clarkson walking into a fictionalized version of the film’s premiere. Hathaway, who starred as awkward-teen-turned-reluctant royal Mia Thermopolis in both 2001’s “Princess Diaries” and the sequel, also included snaps of herself posing with Mia’s love interests — played by Callum Blue and Chris Pine — and laughing with Julie Andrews, who co-starred as her grandmother, Queen Clarisse.

Hathaway also shared a photo of herself being directed by the late Garry Marshall, who helmed both films.

Back in April, Hathaway confirmed reports that something was in the works for a third installment of the beloved Disney franchise.

On the heels of last month’s news that Disney is also working on a sequel for “The Devil Wears Prada,” a source told Entertainment Weekly that Hathaway is similarly in talks to return for that.
