Andrew Kimble Timothy, 32, of Woodland, California, passed away at Woodland Memorial Hospital on November 18, 2024 after six months of battling cancer. Andrew achieved much in his short life, not least of all being the best son, brother and uncle his family could have hoped for. He was born in Woodland on February 13, 1992 at the same hospital in which he passed, and grew up in Woodland, Winters, and Davis, California.

Andrew graduated from Davis Senior High School in 2010. Throughout his high school years, he participated in pep band as a talented trumpet player, and continued with band throughout college. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and in 2015 with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. During college, he became a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Civil Engineering Honor Society. He spent the past seven years of his life working at Laugenour & Meikle in Woodland where he was well-liked and respected by his coworkers and bosses.

Andrew had the most kind, gentle, and contemplative soul and the best sense of humor- qualities which were quickly recognized by anyone who had the privilege of getting to know him. He had a way of helping others feel comfortable and reassured, and was known for doling out his trademark “awful” puns. Andrew, though very humble, was extremely intelligent, as well as highly organized and intentional with everything that he did;. The only thing he could never quite work out was why he was forced to fall prey to this terrible illness at such a young age.

His favorite place in the world was Disneyland, somewhere he was truly in his element, immersed in the magic.

He prided himself on making the most of every day in the parks by maximizing his time with thorough planning which was appreciated by his traveling companions. His favorite ride was, hands-down, “Rise of the Resistance,” as he was abig fan of the Star Wars franchise. He also enjoyed the sport of autocross, which came as a bit of a surprise to his family given his reputation of “safety first” with nearly everything he did. When he wasn’t out racing his own car, he enjoyed watching Formula One racing at home, too. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family with whom he shared a million inside jokes and treasured memories.

Even through the entirety of his rough cancer journey, Andrew remained the genuinely kind and friendly person he had always been, which was recognized by everyone he met along the way. Everyone enjoyed seeing him and prayed he would recover; from the nurses in the infusion center and his oncologists to the people who drew his blood for labs every week. Even if things didn’t turn out how he expected, Andrew was very grateful for all of the support he received during his difficult time.

Andrew is survived by; parents Patricia Hansen and Kimble Timothy; his sister, Sophia Khoshcar; stepmother Trish Timothy; grandmother Pearl Hansen; brothers John (Carrie) Timothy and Chris (Ashley) Timothy; nieces and nephew Macie Timothy, Paige Timothy, William Timothy, and Addie Timothy; aunt Kirstin Hansen (Allan) Ward, cousins Logan Ward and Anna Ward. He is predeceased by his grandfather Norm Hansen, and grandparents Mavis and Robert Timothy.
A celebration of life will be held to honor Andrew on December 17 at the Yolo Fliers Club starting at noon.
