Universal Studios Hollywood will deck the halls this holiday season — from Nov. 29 through Jan. 6 — in Super Nintendo World, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal Plaza.
Super Nintendo World will get a colorful holiday overlay with a Super Star-topped Christmas tree, Mario and Luigi snowmen and seasonal menu items at Toadstool Cafe.
And Christmas in Hogsmeade Village will bring holiday performances by the Frog Choir and seasonal food at Three Broomsticks along with magical garlands, wreaths and lights. A “Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” light projection show will play each night too.
The Grinchmas festivities will take over Universal Plaza on the upper lot with plenty of whimsical Who-centric holiday entertainment ranging from a doo-wop quartet singing holiday classics to Cindy-Lou Who reading “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” The Grinch and his dog Max will be on hand to pose for meet-and-greet photo ops.
Visitors can make their own Grinchmas paper ornaments, send a postcard at the Whoville post office and sample holiday themed treats. And a topsy-turvy Grinchmas tree with thousands of LED lights will be lit and snow soap-flakes will fall during a nightly ceremony.
Meanwhile, Universal CityWalk will host live bands, DJs and street performers in the 5 Towers area of the outdoor shopping mall along with a 40-foot-tall Christmas tree boasting 200,000 LED lights.
The winter holiday activities are included with your ticket to Universal Studios Hollywood and admission to Universal CityWalk is free.
