Jackson Shelstad scored 17 points, Keeshawn Barthelemy added 15, Jadrian Tracey had 13 and No. 15 Oregon held on to beat host Penn State 82-81 on Sunday.

Nate Bittle had 11 points while TJ Bamba and Kwame Evans Jr. added 10 apiece for the Ducks (15-2, 4-2 Big Ten), who trailed for most of the second half before regaining the lead in the final minute.

The game was tied at 78 with just over a minute to go before Shelstad hit a midrange jumper that put Oregon up two with 47 seconds left. Kern tried a layup the other way, but the shot was off. Oregon gained possession, drew a foul and closed out the game with a pair of Tracey free throws.

Freddie Dilione V scored a career-high 21 points and Nick Kern added 19 for the Nittany Lions (12-5, 2-4).

NO. 20 PURDUE 104, NEBRASKA 68: C.J. Cox scored a career-high 23 points and Fletcher Loyer added 19 to help the host Boilermakers to a romp over the Cornhuskers.

Cox made 9 of 11 shots, including 5 of 7 3-pointers. Loyer hit 5 of 6 3-point shots for Purdue (13-4, 5-1 Big Ten).

Connor Essegian scored 17 points and Brice Williams added nine for Nebraksa (12-4, 2-3).

NO. 16 MICHIGAN STATE 78, NORTHWESTERN 68: Jaden Akins scored 14 points and the visiting Spartans extended their winning streak to nine games with a win over the Wildcats.

Michigan State (14-2, 5-0 Big Ten) closed the first half on a 33-12 run and led 47-28 at intermission.

Nick Martinelli scored 27 points to lead Northwestern (10-6, 1-4).

NO. 24 MICHIGAN 91, WASHINGTON 75: Vladislav Goldin had 19 points and Nimari Burnett scored 16 to lead the host Wolverines over the Huskies.

It was the Wolverines’ (13-3, 5-0 Big Ten) fifth straight victory.

Great Osobor scored 23 points for Washington (10-7, 1-5).

NO. 21 WEST VIRGINIA 78, COLORADO 70: Javon Small scored 26 points and Joseph Yesufu added 18 as the visiting Mountaineers held off the Buffaloes.

West Virginia (12-3, 3-1 Big 12) overcame foul trouble and used a late 13-4 run to thwart Colorado (9-6, 0-4).

Julian Hammond III had 23 points for the Buffaloes.

WOMEN

NO. 2 SOUTH CAROLINA 67, NO. 5 TEXAS 50: Te-Hina Paopao and Chloe Kitts each scored 11 points and the host Gamcocks rolled past the Longhorns for their 11th straight win. Joyce Edwards added 10 points for South Carolina (16-1, 4-0 SEC).

Kyla Oldacare led Texas (16-2, 3-1 SEC) with 11 points and 16 rebounds.

NO. 3 NOTRE DAME 67, CLEMSON 58: Liatu King had 23 points and 11 rebounds and the visiting Fighting Irish (14-2, 5-0 ACC) held on to beat the Tigers without AP Preseason All-American guard Hannah Hidalgo. Hidalgo had her right foot in a boot and did not play.

Loyal McQueen and Hannah Kohn each had 14 points for Clemson (10-7, 3-3).

NO. 9 OHIO STATE 69, OREGON 60: Taylor Thierry scored a season-high 20 points and the host Buckeyes had a 27-0 second-quarter run in a win over the Ducks.

Ajae Petty had 13 points, 14 rebounds and four assists for Ohio State (16-0, 5-0 Big Ten).

Nani Falatea and Amina Muhammad scored 11 points apiece for Oregon (12-5, 3-3).

LOUISVILLE 69, NO. 13 GEORGIA 60: Tajianna Roberts scored 16 to lead a balanced attack and the host Cardinals (12-5, 5-1 ACC) upset the Yellow Jackets for their sixth straight victory.

Kara Dunn scored 18 points to lead Georgia Tech (15-2, 3-2).

PITTSBURGH 72, SMU 59: Panthers coach Tory Verdi had a simple second-half message for his team, which was getting absolutely blown out at home against the Mustangs.

“I kept saying ‘fight,’” he said.

His team responded — in record fashion.

Pittsburgh — down by 32 points in the first half, still down by 31 at intermission — tied an NCAA Division I women’s basketball record for biggest comeback, rallying to stun SMU behind 22 points from Mikayla Johnson and 21 from Khadija Faye.

The 32-point comeback tied the record set by Texas State on Feb. 18, 2006, when it trailed UTSA 40-8 late in the first half before winning 73-71 in overtime.

Pitt (9-9, 1-4 ACC) outscored SMU (10-7, 2-3) 28-0 in the third quarter, 54-10 in the second half.
