



Fresno State suspended two of its top men’s basketball scorers on Saturday and removed a third player from the team amid reports that the school is the subject of gambling investigations.
The school said in a statement that Jalen Weaver (12.5 ppg) and Zaon Collins (12.0 ppg) “are being withheld from competition as the university reviews an eligibility matter.” ESPN.com reported that Mykell Robinson (10.3 ppg), who has not played since Jan. 11, is no longer on the team.
Fresno State (5-23, 1-16 Mountain West) has already broken the school’s single-season record for losses and was trying to snap a nine-game losing streak on Saturday when it faced Air Force. The Bulldogs lost 72-69.
No. 4 Alabama 96, No. 17 Kentucky 83 >> Mark Sears scored 30 points and No. 4 Alabama came from behind against No. 17 Kentucky.
Alabama (22-5, 11-3 SEC), which had lost its previous two games, trailed 30-18 midway through the first half but went on an 18-2 run and led the rest of the way for its eighth top-25 win, a program record.
Amari Williams stuffed the statsheet with 17 points, 11 rebounds and six assists for the Wildcats (18-9, 7-7), who also got a team-high 20 points from Koby Brea.
No. 5 Houston 68, No. 8 Iowa St. 59 >> L.J. Cryer scored 28 points, Milos Uzan added 19 points and No. 5 Houston held on to beat No. 8 Iowa State.
Cryer and Uzan combined to shoot 18 of 27, including 8 of 12 on 3-pointers. Emanuel Sharp added 11 points for Houston (23-4, 15-1 Big 12), which won its sixth straight.
No. 6 Tennessee 77, No. 7 Texas A&M 69 >> Chaz Lanier had a season-high 30 points, including 8 3-pointers, and No. 6 Tennessee defeated No. 7 Texas A&M.
Lanier, a senior transfer from North Florida, went 8 of 13 from beyond the arc and 10 of 18 overall in game that featured 11 lead changes and eight ties.
Oregon 77, No. 11 Wisconsin 73 (OT) >> Nate Bittle had 23 points and Jackson Shelstad made a desperation 3 to force overtime as Oregon beat No. 11 Wisconsin.
Bittle, a 7-foot center, scored six points in overtime to help snap Wisconsin’s five-game winning streak. Shelstad finished with 13 points as the Ducks (20-8, 9-8 Big Ten) extended their winning streak to four games.
The Badgers (21-6, 11-5) have only lost two home games this season.

Yin leads in Thailand >> Angel Yin birdied three of her final four holes on the front nine to help set up an 8-under 64 to take a five-stroke lead into the final round of the LPGA Thailand tournament.
The American had a three-round total of 21-under 195 at Siam Country Club’s Pattaya Old Course. Sponsor invite Akie Iwai of Japan, who led after the first two rounds, shot 71 and dropped into second place.
Potgieter loses cushion >> Aldrich Potgieter had the lead going into the final round of the Mexico Open, minus the cushion he enjoyed after a sloppy finish that made him settle for a 4-under 67 and a one-shot advantage over Brian Campbell at Vidanta Vallarta.
Potgieter, the 20-year-old power player from South Africa, and Campbell are both going for their first PGA Tour title and a trip to the Masters.
