Toddler found walking alone
Police are investigating after a child was found walking alone in Highland, a spokesman said.
Highland police were contacted around 9:10 p.m. Saturday about a girl, who was believed to be about 2 years old, walking alone in the 2900 block of Cambridge Way, Cmdr. John Banasiak said in a news release.
“She was found unharmed and she was ultimately placed with the Indiana Department of Child Services,” Banasiak said.
A parent of the child was found nearly 13 hours later, according to the release.
“This matter remains under investigation by the Highland Police Department and Indiana Department of Child Services,” Banasiak said.
